Scope of this notice. This notice applies to NRWA’s programs, services, and activities and to the members of the public who participate in or benefit from them. NRWA employees and applicants for employment should refer to the NRWA Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy in the NRWA employee handbook, which governs discrimination, harassment, and retaliation arising out of employment with NRWA.

That procedure is available at https://nrwa.org/grievance-procedure/ and in alternate formats upon request from the Civil Rights Coordinator identified above. NRWA will provide assistance in filing a complaint upon request.

NRWA does not intimidate, threaten, coerce, or retaliate against any individual or group because they have exercised their rights under, or opposed actions prohibited by, the federal non-discrimination laws, or for the purpose of interfering with those rights.

How to File a Discrimination Complaint With a Federal Funding Agency

A complaint may also be filed directly with the federal agency that provides financial assistance to the program or activity involved, regardless of whether a complaint is filed with NRWA. Filing a complaint with NRWA is not required before filing with a federal agency.
