Disaster Recovery Circuit Rider Program and Calendar Year 2022 Disaster Water Grants

Calendar Year 2022 Disaster Water Grants are now available to communities impacted by presidentially-declared disasters in 2022.

This grant funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is to help communities in areas of emergency response, preparedness, and mitigation for water, wastewater stormwater, and solid waste. Projects made possible by this funding can range from fixing issues caused by a 2022 disaster or preparing redundancy for future disasters.

NRWA Disaster Recovery Circuit Riders (DRCRs) will help systems access and navigate the grant funding from USDA. DRCRs meet with system operators to perform an initial assessment to determine gaps in mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Once an assessment has been completed with findings related to the 2022 presidential declared disaster, DRCRs will assist qualified systems through the application, project identification process, and project progression.
