At the urging of consultants and a representative of the Virginia Rural Water Association the Boydton Town Council unanimously agreed to seek United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development grants for a $1,496,000 sewer upgrade project. The project, prepared by Dewberry & Davis, would replace a 40-year-old sewer pump station with a gravity sewer system, replace a number of deteriorated sewer lines and relocate sewer lines to achieve a proper offset from several homes.
